Abstract:Taoist Nature Sanctuary (TNS) is revered as the abode of Taoist immortals and has bequeathed a rich legacy of natural and cultural landscapes throughout its historical evolution. Fujian’s “blessing” source is profound regarding mountains and rivers; this area is an important part of the national Dongtian Blessing map, enough to be the name of TNS. Collecting and sorting out historical materials and research results related to Fujian’s TNS. It also analyzes the current research status of Fujian’s TNS through three aspects: geographic evidence, historical culture, and humanistic landscapes. Focusing on five aspects of analyzing the historical and cultural background of the origin and development of Fujian’s TNS, namely, the culture of Min-Yue and immortals, the culture of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism, maritime culture, geomancy culture, and the aesthetic perspective of ancient artists; then from the macro - mesoscopic – micro-scale of namiyama system, the original ecological environment, caves and derivative buildings on the influence of humanistic landscape of Fujian’s TNS. Finally, it summarizes the characteristics of research angles, research objects, research contents, and characteristics of Fujian’s TNS and puts forward the future prospects. It is of great practical significance to the landscape protection and cultural inheritance of Fujian’s TNS.
