Abstract:The attractiveness of commercial streets has become an essential indicator for measuring the value of commercial streets. This study takes Nanjing traditional commercial streets as the research objects, and from the perspective of tourists, analyzes and summarizes seven landscape factors such as landscape sketches and classical architectural elements that affect the charm of traditional commercial streets. The results found that the extracted seven landscape factors all had a positive effect on enhancing the charm of traditional commercial streets. Among them, landscape sketches were the landscape elements that had an enormous in uence on the charm of traditional commercial streets. Most of the tourists focused on the participation and viewing of commercial streets but paying less attention to practical landscape elements such as lighting systems, signage systems, and functional sketches. Finally, based on the results of investigation and analysis, suggestions are made for the landscape design of traditional commercial streets
