Abstract:The Japanese garden is an integral part of the eastern garden system, originated from the Han and the Tang dynasties of China, and after continually absorbing and re ning, developed a unique style of the garden art system and the established gardening techniques. Heian hotel courtyard of Kyoto, is the representative of modern Japanese garden pool spring migration type, building a quiet and idle silence atmosphere in less than 1500 m2 of the courtyard landscape space. In addition to terrain planning, stone placement, plant layout, you can also see some stone arts such as stone laying, stone lanterns, hand-washing bowls, etc. Not only is the courtyard playable and viewable, but it also functions as a teahouse and a shrine. It illustrated from the perspective of landscape construction, analyzed spatial planning, seasonal design, plant design, and landscape stone layout of the courtyard. It hoped to be of reference value to the landscape construction of modern public space in China.
